Nissan Dashboard Lights: Color Codes

Not all warning symbols that appear on your Nissan dashboard are worrisome. Some act more than alerts to let you know a service is needed on your Nissan. In contrast, other symbols serve as a warning. You need to take your vehicle to a service department right away. Let’s break down the difference of the Nissan dashboard lights color codes:

  • Yellow Dashboard Lights: Yellow color to a warning symbol on your dashboard is a sign of malfunction. You should heed with caution, but the issue does not need an immediate fix. The yellow is a sign to schedule your service appointment soon.
  • Red Dashboard Lights: Do not ignore a red dashboard light. You can still drive a short distance most times, but we recommend visiting your closest dealership.

A service technician needs to look at your vehicle right away. Of course, we only recommend driving the car as long as it is okay, depending on the symbol. For good measure, it is best to pull over to a safe area and review the symbol.

Nissan Dashboard Lights: Symbol Meaning

  • Exclamation Point Inside Triangle: A Master Warning Light
  • PS: Power Steering Warning Light
